AlmuT Maria Mölk

I grew up in Innsbruck, Austria for the first time and a second time in New York City. German is my mother – and English my father tongue.
I am an artist and my creative work includes acting, directing, writing, translating, photography and movie making.

I am good and bad, beautiful and ugly, often big and
sometimes small, very focused and easily distracted,
empathetic and rude, mindful and way off and everything in
between.
My alias is Alien. And I do the job, no matter what.
I cannot help it.
That’s how I’ve been drifting through life for several
decades now, which I find to be an extremely intense,
multifaceted, mysterious and wonderful trip.

That’s me. What about you?
Whatever the answer – I’m looking forward to our paths to
cross and create together…

My acting training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and my internship at the Actors Studio in New York have been joined by numerous workshops over the years – with Elizabeth Kemp, Michael Margotta, Philippe Gaulier, Robert Castle and Keith Johnstone, among others. In addition to my acting work, I have directed, coached actors for film and television, performed, done voice-over work, written, translated and interpreted for the theater. In between my hustle and bustle my two daughters and my son came into this world and since then it is my great learning to juggle all my passions and different worlds and at the same time let go and surrender to life as it unfolds. “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” – as one of my great musical heroes once proclaimed.
